In my opinion, should have been a whole new mount for people to earn by doing content today, not by doing something over a decade ago.

This mount is given to Scarab Lord title holders who previously had the old model already. The new model is automatically added to your mount tab upon logging in. It is a second mount, it does NOT replace the old model. So Scarab Lords, enjoy a second exclusive mount. You can use the old model, the new model, or switch between both, to your own liking!

Edit: Unfortunately it cannot fly.

Do you people realize how messed up this achievement is. It bugged out shortly after Wrath was released allowing players at level 80 on all servers to get it when the gates were already opened. Plus players were transferring to new servers in the hundreds to get it years after it it was suppose to be unavailable. If people with the Veteran of the Shifting Sands achievement can't get the new one then so should it be the case with people who got Scarab Lord post vanilla, because they are not Scarab Lords who earned it when the achievement when was current. Thousands of players cheated the achievement and Blizzard being as sloppy as usual overlooked it. I have never seen a real Scarab Lord. I have however seen a dozens of people who at level 80 got scepter, cheated the system and got rewarded for it. You guys are right this is prestigious.
