I have maxed out Ption Mastery, Potion Lore, Batch Production, as well as Air/Frost-Formulated Potions (as these give +1 skill to crafting Elemental Potion of Ultimate Power as well). With all of those I am able to get 424 out of 450 skill with rank 3 reagents. An Illustrious Insight guarantees a rank 3 craft (454 skill), but it costs 50 mettle to use Illustrious Insight.
You need a inspiration proc or R3 pots and a illustrious insight unfortunately. A full 50 mettle to get 20 R3 pots, really blizzard? Hoping they change this in the future, not even the cauldron needs 50 mettle to make R3.
