How it works
It does not trigger the global cooldown, so it can be used between other casts. Its dispel type is client id 1. Its aura procs every time its trigger condition is met.
Gripping Shadows is built from 2 client effects, applied in this order:
- Effect 1 is Weapon % Damage (effect type 31). Its base value is 50. Its area radius is 6 yards.
- Effect 2 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 33. Its base value is 10. Its area radius is 6 yards.
What it does
Gripping Shadows is a Shadow spell with an instant cast, no range (it targets the caster), a 5 sec cooldown and effects that last 6 sec. When cast it deals a percentage of weapon damage (base value 50) in a 6 yard radius and applies an aura in a 6 yard radius. The client files the whole spell under the snared mechanic. It stacks up to 5 times.
Generated from the SpellEffect, SpellMisc, SpellCooldowns and SpellRange records in the current retail game build. Effects the client marks as internal hooks are left out.
