4 of this set's 14 pieces drop from 4 encounters in Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible. The rest come from vendors, quests, crafting or world drops, which the dungeon journal does not record.

• Assault of the Zaqali - Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible - Warlord's Volcanic Vest
• Magmorax - Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible - Cuffs of the Savage Serpent
• Scalecommander Sarkareth - Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible - Oblivion's Immortal Coil
• The Forgotten Experiments - Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible - Neldris's Sinewy Scapula

Drop chances are not stored in the client data we mine, so none are shown here.

4 bosses in Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible drop pieces of this set. Each instance below carries its Adventure Guide entry, where its entrance is, and what each boss drops.

Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible

Millennia ago, Neltharion established Aberrus, a secret laboratory where he conducted world altering experiments. Recently rediscovered, Aberrus is now under attack from all sides as forces seeking to claim the Earth-Warder's legacy search for any power that remains. The champions of Azeroth must venture into the shadows and ensure Neltharion's dark power doesn't fall into the wrong hands.

The entrance is in Zaralek Cavern at 48.5, 10.0 (/way #2133 48.5 10.0).

Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible entrance

• The Forgotten Experiments drops 1 piece of this set (Shoulder). Adventure Guide map pin: 35.0, 23.1 on the Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible map. The development of the dracthyr produced many iterations, some more successful than others. Early versions of the experiment proved far too volatile to destroy. Kept dormant for thousands of years, these creations have now awakened, and seek to test their prowess against the champions of Azeroth.
• Assault of the Zaqali drops 1 piece of this set (Chest). Adventure Guide map pin: 42.6, 35.4 on the Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible map. Led by Warlord Kagni, the Zaqali warband has launched an all-out assault against the Shadowed Crucible in search of their missing Elder, Rashok. Brutal and ruthless, Kagni is willing to employ any tactic to succeed.
• Magmorax drops 1 piece of this set (Wrist). Adventure Guide map pin: 51.3, 46.8 on the Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible map. Raised from a pup by Neltharion, the only thing stronger than the loyalty of Magmorax is his appetite. The lava hydra guards the passage into the deepest chambers of the Shadowed Crucible, keeping his master's secrets safely hidden from prying eyes.
• Scalecommander Sarkareth drops 1 piece of this set (Waist). Adventure Guide map pin: 49.0, 71.3 on the Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible map. As leader of the Sundered Flame, Scalecommander Sarkareth broke away from the rest of the dracthyr to forge a new future. He has since led his forces to Aberrus, intent on claiming the legacy he believes rightfully belongs to his kind and willing to do anything to obtain it.

5 pieces of this appearance set also belong to the item set Kinslayer's Burdens, which carries these bonuses in the game files:

• 2 pieces (Havoc): Every 175 Fury you spend, gain Seething Fury, increasing your Agility by 10% for 6 sec.
• 2 pieces (Vengeance): Soul Fragments heal for 10% more and generating a Soul Fragment increases your Fire damage by 2% for 6 sec. Multiple applications may overlap.
• 4 pieces (Havoc): Each time you gain Seething Fury, gain 15 Fury and the damage of your next Eye Beam is increased by 15%, stacking 5 times.
• 4 pieces (Vengeance): Shear and Fracture deal Fire damage, and after consuming 60 Soul Fragments, your next cast of Shear or Fracture will apply Fiery Brand for 3 sec to its target.

The game links 1 other version to Kinslayer's Burdens, each labelled the way the collection journal labels it. This page is the Heroic version.

1 other set reuses the 3D models of Kinslayer's Burdens’s head, shoulder, waist, legs, feet and hands, most shared models first:

• Obsidian Gladiator's Leather Armor (Dragonflight, 33 pieces): the same head, shoulder, waist, legs, feet and hands models, recoloured.

Matched in the game files: each piece’s ItemDisplayInfo names its 3D model and texture. The same model with another texture is a recolour. Only pieces with a 3D model of their own (helms, shoulders, cloaks, weapons, shields, off-hands and some belts and robes) can be compared this way; pieces drawn from textures alone are left out.

1 piece of Kinslayer's Burdens can be listed on the Auction House (it does not bind on pickup); 1 has a listing on US connected realms in our latest scan.

Lowest listed price on any US connected realm in our recorded Auction House scan, per piece; transmog gear is priced per realm, so the realm named is where that price was seen.

Sets from the same content batch with the same class restriction.
