Source is the collection journal’s own source for each appearance, read from the current retail build; bosses, quests, recipes, prices and requirements come from the game’s item, journal and quest records.
What This Set Covers
This is a complete head-to-toe outfit - it fills 9 armor slots, so it can be worn as a full look with nothing borrowed from another set. Every piece is Bind on Pickup, so the appearances have to be earned rather than bought.
Slot and binding read from the current retail build’s item records for this set’s own pieces.

Where These Pieces Drop
5 of this set's 14 pieces drop from 7 encounters in Khaz Algar and Nerub-ar Palace. The rest come from vendors, quests, crafting or world drops, which the dungeon journal does not record.
Drop chances are not stored in the client data we mine, so none are shown here.
Where to Farm This Set
7 bosses in Khaz Algar and Nerub-ar Palace drop pieces of this set. Each instance below carries its Adventure Guide entry, where its entrance is, and what each boss drops.
Khaz Algar's depths have been met with great disturbances in recent times. With the Coreway disrupted and the nerubians on the rise, other threats have arisen as well. Kordac, the Dormant Protector has risen to defend the Isle of Dorn. In the Ringing Deeps, an Aggregation of Horrors awaits. Hallowfall's waters have been disturbed by Shurrai, Atrocity of the Undersea. And in the depths of Azj-Kahet, the deepwalker Orta, the Broken Mountain, has been twisted by Black Blood.
Kordac, the Dormant Protector drops 1 piece of this set (Waist). Barely functional or even remembered, Kordac's disrepair forces him to remain a dormant observer. Even upon detecting the void somewhere below, he was forced into inaction. But that's changed. The unidentifiable lifeforms who have arrived to the Isle of Dorn are powerful enough to potentially pose a threat to Azeroth. And so he stands against us. And so we stand against him.
Aggregation of Horrors drops 1 piece of this set (Waist). An abomination birthed from void-tainted remnants of Skardyn, the Aggregation of Horrors stands as a unified monstrosity. This dread entity is poised to unleash its terrifying plague upon The Ringing Deeps.
Shurrai, Atrocity of the Undersea drops 1 piece of this set (Waist). The sea floor hides horrors beyond our imagining. Hallowfall's proximity to the Undersea brings it near the reach of creatures of the deep, and the kobyss are only eager to take advantage. Their summons raise Shurrai, Atrocity of the Undersea, to wreak havoc on their hunting grounds. Shurrai is an amalgamation of the worst terrors and putrefying flesh of the abyssal depths, and the Arathi will need all the help they can get to stop it.
Orta, the Broken Mountain drops 1 piece of this set (Waist). Long has this deepwalker strode through the chasms and legends of Azj-Kahet. His voice an earthquake, his will diamond, his strength adamant. Yet now he comes before Azj-Kahet, contaminated by the dark pustules of the black blood, in need of a good death. Who will rise to face him?
Deep within the kingdom of Azj-Kahet lies Nerub-ar Palace, Queen Ansurek's seat of power. From this shadowed throne Queen Ansurek has tightened her grip on her Sureki followers, leading them along a dark path to a new future. As her paranoia grows, the members of the conspiratorial Severed Threads launch their final gambit against Ansurek's rule.
The entrance is in Azj-Kahet at 43.5, 90.4 (/way #2255 43.5 90.4).
Nerub-ar Palace entrance
Ulgrax the Devourer drops 2 pieces of this set (Chest, Wrist). Adventure Guide map pin: 53.2, 38.8 on the Nerub-ar Palace map. Queen Ansurek's evolutionary experimentation created a number of monstrous guardians for her throne, none more voracious than Ulgrax the Devourer. Driven mad by endless hunger, Ulgrax is now the ravenous protector of Queen Ansurek's court.
Sikran, Captain of the Sureki drops 1 piece of this set (Feet). Adventure Guide map pin: 59.1, 30.1 on the Nerub-ar Palace map. Sikran established himself as an arrogant duelist within Queen Ansurek's court. Never knowing the cut of an enemy's blade, Sikran dispatched his rivals one-by-one and was proclaimed Captain of the Sureki by the queen herself. This indomitable fighter now ensures that any who threaten his queen fall before the throne's might.
Rasha'nan drops 1 piece of this set (Head). Adventure Guide map pin: 39.5, 59.5 on the Nerub-ar Palace map. Twisted by Queen Ansurek's experiments, Rasha'nan was transformed from a proud nerubian into a monstrous, winged horror. Trapped within her new form, shattered memories of her former self drive Rasha'nan into an unquenchable rage.

Versions and Companion Sets
16 companion sets shipped in the Nerub-ar Palace group alongside it:
1 other set reuses the 3D models of Rites of the Hexflame Coven’s head, shoulder, waist, legs, feet, hands and chest, most shared models first:
Forged Gladiator's Silk Armor (The War Within, 28 pieces): the same head, shoulder, waist, legs, feet, hands and chest models, recoloured.
Matched in the game files: each piece’s ItemDisplayInfo names its 3D model and texture. The same model with another texture is a recolour. Only pieces with a 3D model of their own (helms, shoulders, cloaks, weapons, shields, off-hands and some belts and robes) can be compared this way; pieces drawn from textures alone are left out.
The game data carries 4 separate set records under the name Rites of the Hexflame Coven - one per class or armor weight, plus the per-slot recolours the appearance was built from. This page is the one we index for the name; the others are listed here so nothing is lost.
