Hi! Want to share combined knowledge on how to boost follower experience.
Stable version of the comment.

[item=170171] - 50 reputation with [npc=149902]/[npc=149803]. Drop from [npc=152795] and crabs west of Gate of the Queen (~41 16). +1 drop once from [object=328376].
[item=170176] - 50 reputation with [npc=149904]/[npc=151626]. Drop from [npc=152290] and rays in Coral Forest (~ 58 50).
[item=170167] - 50 reputation with [npc=149906]/[npc=149805]. Drop from Chasm-Haunter and eels in The Hanging Reef (~ 50 72) + Deepcoil Tunnels (~61 18).
[item=170183] - 20 reputation with each bodyguard (60 total). Drop from [npc=152567]/[npc=152566]/[npc=152568]/[npc=152397] and [npc=152559] in The Hanging Reef (~50 72). +1 drop once from [object=328376].
[item=168053] - 75 reputation with targeted bodyguard. Random proc from [npc=152084] with [item=169489] (make sure you get the WA for murlocs - its a blessing).
[item=170184] - 100 reputation with each bodyguard (300 total). Drop from [npc=152567]/[npc=152566]/[npc=152568]/[npc=152397]. Not 100% drop, but very high. WEEKLY.
[item=170085] - 150 reputation with each bodyguard (450 total). This is a drop from [object=322413] (obtainable after using [item=167077]) or [item=170153] sold by [npc=152084].
As for my experience, I would recommend farming Orders from chests after the reset and then wait for Tome from Mrrl. Very rare drop from chests, not sure if I had them drop twice a week.

Tip for [npc=152593] - buy one [item=170100], sell to vendor, buy another one, craft an item from [npc=152084] and buyback for next time :)
Also, if [item=170103] following their description, they might be related to these items.

Follower levels doesn't give any boosts to their exp. e.g. no point to max one follower and then the others.
As they are leveling up by "experience", you don't get bonuses from Darkmoon Faire etc.

Recommendations:
0. Phasing. If [item=170085] and/or [item=168053] are sold today by [npc=152084], you can buy them again tomorrow. Jump Nazjatar groups and find yesterday's phase. Sometimes it's really tough but don't give up. Also, you definitely can buy different items from different phases e.g. you buy "first" item without cloak and then you buy second with it - first item would be locked though.
1. Actual "farming" is not worth the time. Getting [item=170184] weekly and buying items from [npc=152084] differs by ~one extra [item=170085] and 1-2 greenies only.
2. Rares have much higher chance to drop rep items, so aim for them and then try to farm small ones if needed. The bigger the mob - the bigger the chance.
3. Get WA for auto-buying items from [npc=152084] - can be found in the comment by Sipder2. It's a blessing (buggy though -> relog).
4. Don't waste too much time on [item=167077]. Really not worth your time in life.

Got the Aqua Team Murder Force on August 16, 2019 that is about 7 weeks. But you can do better!

This is now achievable across characters.

So one of your toons can get one follower up to level 30 and another toon can get another follower up to level 30 and it will count towards this achieve.

Why they didn't do this in the first place is beyond me... But I do have to say I think it's kind of nasty to do now as it's a slap in the face to people who did it the hard way (and no I didn't do it the hard way).
