Nine Lives (10 player)

The text of the achievement says:

Defeat the Feral Defender while defeating Auriaya in 10-player mode.

The Feral Defender is a cat that spawns 60 seconds. You have to defeat it. The achievement is confusing because it is trivial to defeat the Feral Defender while defeating Auriaya.

The trick is that in order to defeat the Feral Defender, you must kill it nine times. You kill it once and it dies. After a minute it will respawn; this time with 8 stacks of Feral Essence.

Keep killing it until it can no longer respawn (zero stacks of Feral Essence).

Then kill Auriaya.

My guild got this about a week ago.

There are a few things you want to do. Instead of just clearing the right, or left trash mobs, clear both.. you will need the space. In order to get this achievement, rather than bursting the boss (Auraiya) down, you must do some dps, but not kill her. In other words, you need to spread out the damage you do on all 9 lives.

Each time you kill a feral defender, the void zones that they drop down do an immense amount of damage to you. So, (starting from the left, looking out from Kologarn's area), there should be 2 on the left-most platform, 1 on the stairs, 3 on that next platform, 3 on the next one, one on the stairs (if you need it), and then 3 more on that last platform.

Keep in mind, if you have Deadly Boss Mods, while it says the Feral Defender is dead (after the 9 lives), it technically is not. Think of it like he will be alive 10 times, but only die 9 times, if that makes sense.

Again, I cannot stress how important it is that you do a lot of dps while killing the defenders. We ended up killing enraged Auraiya with our two healers, when she was down to 10k hp after being enraged.

The Feral Defender spawns after 1 minute and begins the fight with 8 stacks of Feral Essence. He can revive himself at the cost of 1 stack, so getting this achievement requires killing the Defender 9 times.

Each time the Defender is killed he leaves a Seeping Feral Essence void zone on the floor, so each kill must be on a new location without blocking the rest of the raid.
