NOTE: The spawn times have changed to be every 5 minutes after the maintenance on 1/29, meaning there is a 1.5 hour rotation instead of a 3 hour rotation. Times have been updated accordingly.

18 of the rares spawn in a fixed order, approximately every 10 5 minutes. The last one, [npc=253378], spawns separately with an event involving [npc=253605] that can trigger at any of the twilight camps (near where the other rares spawn). When this event spawns, a zone-wide announcement will take place saying "An Ephemeral Void has manifested in location."

This information is basically a reorganized copy of the information posted by tindelli and re-based on REALM TIME instead of EST.

It's probably easy enough to see what the table means, but perhaps in danger of man-splaining it, here goes.
Each NPC spawn every 1.5 hours.
A different NPC spawns every 5 minutes (in rotation).
So an NPC spawns during particular hours and an offset from the top of the hour.
For example, if the times is shown with Rotation 1 hours 1, 4, 7, 10 and minutes xx:15, and Rotation 2 hours 2, 5, 8, 11 and minutes xx:45 , that means the NPC spawns every 1.5 hours starting at 1:15AM...
specifically, 1:15 AM, 2:45, 4:15, 5:45, 7:15, 8:45, 10:15, 11:45, 1:15 PM, 2:45, 4:15, 5:45, 7:15, 8:45, 10:15, 11:45.

The exception to this is [npc=253378], which is triggered separately. See the NPC's page for details.

The RareScanner addon is useful to alert you to when an NPC spawns. It also shows the next respawn times if you hover over the NPC's icon on the map. Of course, the game writes a message in the chat when an NPC spawns (The Twilight's Blade have begun summoning ore force. Defeat their ritual leaders!), but historically speaking, I've been too busy to notice that and almost missed a few before getting the addon and turning on the audible notification.

To complete the achievement and get your [item=246594] you have to kill all 19 Twilight's Blade Rare bosses.

The 18 Twilight's Blade Rares spawn every 10 minutes 5 minutes (hotfix will be active with realm restarts in each region) in a fixed rotation:

The rare is spawned but enshrouded in an immunity shield. To break that shield you will need to participate in the event, which has 3 stages:


  2. Stop the Ritual: Kill Twilight's Blade forces and disrupt their camp.

  4. Slay the Ritualists: Kill the three ritualists shielding the Rare mob.

  6. Twilight's Champion: The Twilight's Blade rare is now vulnerable. Kill them!

The last one rare is triggered separately. To summon the [npc=253378] rare you must take part in the exclusive sub-event involving [npc=253605]. An [npc=253605] will spawn at the Twilight's Blade camps during the Rare events with the zone-wide announcement:


  • An Ephemeral Void has manifested in the *location*!


You interact with it by destroying the [npc=253329] scattered around the camps. Destroying enough of them will summon the rare [npc=253378].
