Since the required achievement doesn't show up in the Achievements before you complete the first one, here is a command so you can track your progress from the get go.

I have tested this & it holds true at the moment:
I don't know if it's a bug or not:
- Your alts can't contribute on toward this achievement, you have to get it on ONE of your characters and it opens up level 3 blueprints for your account.
Mining & Herb garden work orders doesn't count toward this achievement- Any medium & small building work order count: I've check half of small ones, Lumber Mill & Barn for this
- Looting the completed order (every 4 hours) does count, not placing it
So if you want to do it on one character, & you rush to lvl 100, And didn't do any work order til now:
3 small building (any profession building a.k.a NOT salvage or Storehouse)
2 medium building (Lumber Mill & Barn)250 / (5 building * 6 work order a day) = 250/30, It takes 8 days & 8 hours to complete this achievement on one character.
EDIT: In a Q&A in reddit, they admitted "mining/herb not doesn't counting toward the achievement" to be a bug that they are trying to fix ASAP.
EDIT2: In a patch on december 8th, they fixed the issue, but a realm restart is needed.Work orders for the following Horde buildings (Mine, Herb Garden, Goblin Workshop, War Mill, and Trading Post) should now correctly contribute credit towards the achievement.
The way that garrisons work right now on the Beta (and hopefully sitll on live when you read this) is that all Level 2 blueprints are unlocked by the time you hit lvl 100 and upgrade to Tier 3 garrison.
Now let's say you haven't done ANY workorder what so ever, and you want your T3 small buildings ASAP.
Well, good news! This achievement (if run at theoretical max speed) takes you less than 3 days of active input!Dont get me wrong, even at max speed this achi takes 7 DAYS to complete, because of the time a work order takes to complete.
Let's do the math below:
First off you'll want to get yourself
- A T1 or above Storehouse
- A T2 Alchemy Lab
- A T2 Forge
- A T2 Barn
- A T2 Lumber Mill
- A T2 Mine
- A T2 Herb Garden
Now the goal is to pump out as many workorders as possible, with the least amount of daily input. Ofcourse you can have all of the above at T1, but that'll mean you'll have to go back and put in materials more often. Since that would end up being too many variables, were not gonna calculate that for now.
Now the above setup gives us 6x 19 workorders (T2=14 + Storehouse = extra 5 each). This means that, provided you have the materials required, you only have to spend time on this achi every 76h (19 workorders taking 4h to complete each).
Now Profession-wise what do you need? Well kids, heres the bad news: T1 or T2 doesn't even matter, if you're not running with Mining and Herbalism, this achievement will take on average 15% longer to achieve. Sadface.jpg
"Why" you ask? Well because both the mine and the herb garden run on soulbound materials gained from said profession, Draenic stone and Draenic seeds, respectively.
This is why I advise you to use this low daily-input method on your gathering alt, provided you have one.
For the time being, lets say you have an alt with this specific profession setup. What you're gonna wanna do is store up 41-42 workorders for each of these buildings. (41.66 (repeating ofcourse) to be exact, so 4x 42, 2x 41 if you really wanna do the least amount of gathering needed).
I warned you, this is a crapton of materials to get, but its doable in a day if you're crazy enough to do so.
What will you need?
- 205-210 Draenic stone
- 205-210 Draenic seeds
- 205-210 Frostweed
- 205-210 True Iron Ore
- 42 Caged Beast (doesn't matter what kind)
- 420 Timber
After You aquired this veritable heap of resources, you chuck as many of em into their respective buildings.
Go out, play with kittens or do productive work for 76hours, come back, stuff everything again.
Go follow a 76h piano class, come back Again, plug the last bits; and wait for the final less-than-a-day to collect your shiny new T3 small building permit!Congrats, you've reached the end of this post!
If you spot a mistake, by all means let me know :)On a sidenote: The forge and alchemy lab can be substituted by any other T2 profession building, but given the large amount of ores and herbs you'll have to collect, you might aswell use these. We're all about efficiency, remember?
