And this expac's award for "Most Kiteable Mob" goes to... Commander Sathrenael!

Not that I'm complaining, it's nice to see them actually put some more kiteable mobs back in game. It's a good traditional piece of gameplay & there needs to be a range of difficulties of mob to learn the technique with.

But between the long channel on his Imperious Beam (that already encourages you to maintain range to avoid damage), the clearly defined area on his knockback swing (which also encourages you to maintain range and/or swap sides), and his naturally slow movement... he's a very easy introduction to the idea of kiting.

It makes me wonder if it's not a deliberate choice on Bliz's part to re-train traditional fundamental mechanics into newer players.

Mistress Il'thendra over in Antoran Wastes is another one - she's like the next step up in kiting, where you need to duck behind pillars out of line of sight of her fairly slow casts, and pepper her with fast casts while occasionally cleaning up some very weak adds (that actually help proc many class's heal-on-kill type benefits). Although she is made more challenging by the less-than-weak casters in her area... but respawns are also a pretty traditional issue for kiters.
