Vault of the Wardens

5 encounters, 41 boss abilities and 56 drops, with the Adventure Guide’s own ability and strategy notes for each fight. Every drop links to its item page; tradeable drops carry a live Auction House price.

This secret Warden facility was carved into the mountainside deep in Azsuna, and sealed with magical wards both to keep intruders out, and to ensure that the terrors locked within could never escape. Many of the most dangerous foes the Wardens have encountered were locked away within the Vault, but in the aftermath of Cordana's betrayal and the Legion's attack, those creatures now roam the halls freely.

Tirathon Saltheril

Once ally to the Master, Tirathon made a bargain with the Legion in exchange for more power. Embittered after years of imprisonment, Tirathon is eager to dole out pain and suffering to whomever crosses his path. If that happens to be one of his former captors, then so much the better.

Abilities & Strategy

Overview

Tirathon begins the fight in his blood elf form, but uses Metamorphosis halfway through the encounter. Tirathon changes to one of two demonic forms at this time and uses new and altered abilities. The form that Tirathon chooses changes from week to week.

Damage Dealers
  • If Tirathon metamorphoses into a Vengeance demon he casts Fel Mortar instead of Furious Blast. This will greatly increase the number of Furious Flames zones in the arena.
  • If Tirathon metamorphoses into a Havoc demon, use your damage reduction abilities to survive.
Healers
  • Furious Blast damages the entire party if Tirathon's cast is successful.
  • If Tirathon metamorphoses into a Havoc demon the entire party will take significant damage as the fight continues.
Tanks
  • Darkstrikes inflicts substantial Shadow damage while active.
  • If Tirathon enters Vengeance form, reposition him to avoid his whirling Glaives.

Ash'golm was one of Ragnaros' lieutenants who burned a violent scar across the forests of Kalimdor before the Wardens finally managed to bind him. Unable to fully destroy Ash'golm, the Wardens locked him in a prison of ice. Unfortunately, the recent incursion by the Legion has weakened the containment that kept Ash'golm frozen all these years....

Abilities & Strategy

Overview

Ash'golm gradually fills the chamber with Volcanic Eruptions and Burning Embers until he is frozen by the Warden's Deepfreeze Containment. Once frozen, Ash'golm and all Living Embers becomes Brittle until he reheats and begins to fill the chamber with flame again.
