Can still be useful to dispell poisons at level 70. For example it does dispell the poison from the Tainted Elemental on the Vashj encounter.
I also dispells rogues poison for example Crippling Poison, now the poison itself is level 50 but for the normal dispelling it uses the level of the weapon it was applied on so in many cases this will still be level 70.
Perhaps a small oversight from Blizzard. Use to your advantage.
As mentioned above, it's a elixir, it does not shary any cooldown but the global cooldown for elixirs and it does not remove your Battle or Guardian elixir (since this elixir is in neither category)
Edit: it seems blizz fixed this, it's now a potion and will initiate the 2 min cooldown on potions. Well it was great while the fun lasted.
This was renamed from Elixir of Poison Resistance to Potion of Curing in 2.2. Probably due to the fact that, around patch 1.7, its effect was changed from granting poison immunity for a minute to removing four poisons.
This potion was originally an elixir that would cure poisons and make the consumer immune to poison effects for one minute. This is why it still shows up in the elixir category for Alchemists.
