Not BoA either, so can buy/sell it on the AH.

If you have the quest to upgrade your garrison to tier 3 when you use this item, the additional 1000 resources will NOT count toward quest completion. DON'T PANIC. Just drop the quest and re-accept it.

Note that as of Shadowlands, this item is strangely bugged to where, when you use it, it seems to do nothing at all -- you use it and, surprise! You get nothing. Do not worry. You have to relog, and then they show up. Don't ask me why. Note: you have to reLOG, not reLOAD. As in /camp, go to character select menu, then log back in. Bingo bango there's your Garrison Resoursango

This is one of the best things ever happened to WoD alts. They are selling like hot potatoes in the AH and it really helps newly 100'ed alts a lot!

I have 6 tier 3 garrisons that i operate roughly 5 times a week, and have never seen this mission yet. Does anyone know the mission chance of appearing? Somewhat curious if I need to do something that "triggers" its appearance.

You need item level 675 followers to see the quest rewarding this item. Also, random is random and you might never see it, even if that's an unlikely outcome if you've been waiting for months and never seeing it.

Good item to stock up on in preparation for patch 7.0 and Demon Hunter's garrison. I planed to use the shipyard to level my fishing from 1-700.

You can't use [item=128313] while being at maximum of [currency=824]. I accidently right-clicked on it with around 9800 [currency=824] and got an error message, so don't worry to waste it.

rev up those ogre's because i sure need to get a rank 3 garrison on every alt for the grumpus mount

And for those who don't wish to spend time farming but want quick resources - the "Huge Ogre Cache" is often sold on the auction house. Usually for a few thousand gold per item.

Can you farm it? Is the only way to get it via garrison mission or AH?

Currently bugged in SL pre-patch. Says "level 10" but cannot use it on a Level 35 alt with a level 2 garrison.

Still bugged 12 days later, so that's great.

YES! It is still bugged seems like! It says "You can't use this item".

It allowed my level 17 Warrior to use one last week but my level 18 Rogue was getting the "You can't use this item" message today.

i can use it at lvl 51...but it doesn't add any resources to my garrison, despite me having one set up.

I FIGURED IT OUT! Simply use all the ogre caches you have, then upgrade or buy any building, and it will update the amount of resources you have to include the ogre caches minus whatever you just spent.

[s]The online consensus of the community says that this item is now only usable for level 40+ (not level 10 as stated in the item's tooltip). UPDATE (weird): I just bought 5 more on a totally different level 20 toon (because my dumb brain forgot about this bug), and I was able to use 2 out of the 5 of them? Makes no logical sense, except if for some reason the item records "how" it was acquired. My theory about this bug is, depending on the level of the character that gets the Ogre Cache and posts it on the auction house, there may be a hidden requirement on the item that could change. Just a theory.[/s]

UPDATE 2: Seems like Blizz fixed this. I can now use these with no problems.

I had 4 of them when this happened to one of my alts. Could use none of them @ level 19. i bought 4 more from AH and same result. So i went "crazy" for science and bought 6 more. Finally found 1 that i can use and noticed that you can see the difference on mail icons already. Unusable have the default red colored overlay, and those who work don't, you can see it here: https://i.postimg.cc/pT6t8tYb/Wo-WS-Huge-ogre-stash.jpg . It was actually visible on my level 10 bank char who hasn't been to Draenor. Too bad there is no way to see it on AH already, it would help alot until they fix this..

So my theory is that the items have some sort of different "state" based on something(when created or looted etc.) and this causes them either to be usable or not. I tried everthing to make them work, went to Chromie and changed to all of the diffrent timelines and logged out in between with no luck. Damn i hope they fix this soon.

Just mailed them around to check, and all of them are usable on my lvl 47 another alt. Too bad i don't have more alts between levels 20-40, i would check them too otherwise, but i believe the break point is the level 40 like the community has stated.....

I just got a new "self generated" Huge Ogre Cache from a level 60 character, and I'm unable to use that on my lvl 19 alt, or another lvl 20 alt. And since most of my original cache's were "generated" in shadowlands, i believe the reason might be that cache's generated in Shadowlands(or after the level squish) are the ones not working properly on low level characters....

Just checked and it's STILL bugged as of today. Cannot open it at lower levels and not sure what levels CAN open it.

I think the rate of this item appearing at the garisson's missions has dropped a lot. I used to make 1 out of 5 characters and now it's like 1 out of 30.

So.. this is the 2nd time using this item.. because the 1st time, I swore it didn't give me any resources. This time, I watched to make sure, and it gave 0 garrison resources! Using the item makes the audio sound that you used it, but the item just disappears. Lame. My char is level 50... ridiculous.

Same thing happened to me. Going to the char select screen and logging back in showed the resources being there.

relogging worked for me as well

May not need to log out. Setting a mission going and (for science) looting another cache and looting the garrison resource pile outside the town hall both worked for me. Created a bug report for this.

Still broken, but relogging worked for me as well. /reload did not.

Still - STILL broken, reported. And relogging did add resources.

As of 8/24/2021 in Shadowlands, you need to be level 40+ to use this item. If, after consuming it, the added resources do not appear in your total, simply log out and back in again. It's apparently still a bit buggy, but this does work and takes just a few seconds of your time, so no reason to blow your top, right? ;-)

Can confirm this experience as of this AM.

They also get added when you loot your cache, presumed also anything else gives you resources will give you what you opened as well from this item.

As of 6/20/2023, I was able to use this item on my level 33 Mechagnome Hunter.

They don't stack! That totally sucks because I've been storing them. I usually have WoD garrison resources maxed out, but I noticed you can buy three weekly extra roll tokens with these, and it's better to go with them than gold or Apexis Crystals. However, getting three costs a ton of resources, so I started just holding onto these from the mission table rewards just in case I need them.

why do ppl still bying these for 8k?

They are super helpful leveling alts, but charging 8k is a bit much if that's what you are encountering.

[Huge Ogre Cache] did not give 1000 garrison resources, since patch 9.1.5 hit.. reported the bug... expecting it not to get fixed for 3 years.

According to reports, you have to log off, log back in, maybe wait... supposedly they show up after some time. Don't ask me why. Given that people probably mostly buy these off the AH on alts, this is a rage-inducing thing that they should fix, despite it being old content

These [b]do[/b] work as of 9.1.5. However, there was a strange 5 minute or so delay between using the item and receiving the Resources. Logging out and back in may be the answer.

Receiving Garrison Resources via quest/treasure caused the missing resources to appear.

Yes i just brought two of these and after finding they gave me nothing i opened a suport ticket only to then logout and back in and find the resourses were there.

As of patch 10.0 it seems that the rate these appear in garrison missions is very low to none. I have 60 characters and I have not seen these for weeks. Also I don't see as many as I used to in the auction house, so it means others don't get these missions as well. Are these still valid or won't there never be this kind of missions anymore?
