Spell haste rating sounds like faster casting... pretty awesome next to the spelldamage. Guessing you can buy the pattern at Akama's hideout when you did enough temple runs

EDIT: this seems to be classified under leatherworking, can anyone fix that?

I thought this was a trash drop? I think thats what the screenshot says. Although, I ould much prefer that the pattern be BoP (I mean, everything else epic the trash drops is BoP) and the item be BoE. Toss a primal nether requirement onto it if yo have to. Otherwise, you have to farm trash for a drop that you then have to make.... where as all the other drops are straight up "hey you won hte roll, here is your gear!" another note is that the other BoP pattern drops (from bosses, there is a few found already) have BoE items :( oh well.

basically the new boots of blasting. a BoE recipe that makes a BoP item. very nice. my guild has yet to see this drop so far. we arent too far in BT but i would love this. spell haste rating is getting buffed next patch so this would grant a 2.9% increase which would decrease my fireball by almost .1s (.087s) combine these with bracers and another spell haste item, i could get my fireball to 2.8s. which is a 71dps upgrade. not too bad.

Thanks for pointing out it's a BoP item. I missed that when I quickly glanced at it in the AH. I came here to decide if I should buy it just as an addition to my tailoring collection of patterns. Not being fond of the look for transmog, it being BoP, makes that pointless.

Most likely, yes, this would be an improvement over the frozen shadoweave set, depending of course on your spec. If you are spamming shadowbolts or frostbolts in shadoweave, this will help shave some time off of your casting and will increase your DPS even though you lose out on a good amount of spell specific dmg from the shadoweave shoulders. I guess it also depends on how much you like the shadoweave set bonus, on my warlock the extra health = extra mana with life tap, but on my mage, it just means a little extra heals, and I shouldn't be really taking dmg in in a raid anyways...

I did The Battle for Hyjal for the first time and the pattern dropped twice, one I used and the other I sold on AH for almost 900g. I think the drop rate has increased from what's noted here... or we just got lucky.
