Blizzard published New build 12.1.7.70424 on the Retail PTR: 1,569 new items, 5,886 new spells, 31 new currencies, 302 new creatures under 12.1.7 on Oct 15, 2026.
New mounts
The build adds 27 mounts. Where the client records how a mount is obtained (its source text names the vendor, drop, quest or achievement), that fact is printed as the game holds it; a mount without one is listed by name only.

New achievements
The build adds 161 achievements. Each line quotes the achievement's own description from the client, which is the criteria text a player sees.
- A Few More Can't Hurt: Loot 50 Mislaid Treasures within Kindo'jan's Labyrinth.
- A Puzzling Tale: Complete a puzzle in the Tales of the Storyteller.
- Aqir Research Associate: Reach Exalted status with the Aqir Research Enclave.
- Bane of the Swarm: Complete the following Aqir Invasion activities:
- BlizzCon 2026: Logged in during the 2026 BlizzCon celebration period.
- Driving Back the Swarm: Complete 10 Aqir Invasions.

New maps and zones
The client's map and area tables gained 11 new map records (Battle for Dazar'Alor, Quillgrave, Seat of the Pantheon and Silvermoon City) and 40 new area records (Akil'zon's Roost, Augurs' Terrace, Brightwing Estate and Central Chamber). A new map record is how a zone, instance or scenario first appears in the client, usually before any quest or encounter references it.
New creatures
The build adds 302 creatures to the creature table: the NPCs, bosses and critters the new content is built from. Spawn locations are server-side and are not in the client, so only the names are known.
