TheWoWDBThis quest has been tweaked from it's previous pre-cata form. Instead of being told to destroy the demon seed, he tells you that they have more pressing matters (shattered barrens) to attend to and shrugs you off without a follow up quest.

It is really a shame it is stopping here and no follow up. I am leveling a new character and was given a choice either to go to Azshara or "continue" with the Burning Blade questline in Northern Barrens, and I decided to continue that questline to find no follow up quest :(
As the other comment on here points out, this quest used to lead straight into Demon Seed, which is still in the game! And you will encounter it towards the end of Northern Barrens.
It’s a real bugbear of mine that the investigation you do into the Burning Blade in Durotar doesn’t ever directly pay off, but rest assured you haven’t missed anything if you’re here and drawing a blank.

Description
Since the last great war when the Burning Legion was defeated, I have searched for sources of demonic corruption in orc society. The collar you brought me confirms my fears. It belongs to the Burning Blade. Your role in this tale is nearly complete, {name}. Go to Far Watch Post, on the border of the Barrens to the west, and speak with my assistant, Ak'Zeloth. Pass on to him this information.
