I had the quest bug out to the point I could not interact with Ebyssian upon landing. I had to abandon the quest and do it all over again, quite annoying, but at least its a fairly simple quest

Same thing just happened to me. I've had quite a few issues like this with this quest chain. Sundered Flame had the same issues as well.
Well, lucky me, after completing the quest, Ebyssian droped me before landing on the cliff and i died from the fall. This happend with several of my characters.

What to do
Description
<As Ignax looks up, you see a small smile appear on his face.> Few of my soldiers have experience fighting alongside dragons. What a glorious day. Their presence gives us confidence, {class}. Now we must put an end to the djaradin's advance once and for all.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
