TheWoWDBWhy are night elves using or trying to learn arcane magic? Correct me if I'm wrong but last time they did that all the continents got split up and the burning legion invaded.

In WotLK, the Highborne sought out the elves in Darnassus to take them back. Tyrande saw arcane magic as a grim necessity in the world after the Cataclysm, and so the Highborne are now teaching young night elves to be mages.
It appears that only one member of your party can get the drop. Was just in a group and had to wait for respawns and kill her again multiple times so that each of us could complete the quest.

Description
If my sources are trustworthy, Lorekeeper Amberwind is overseeing the Alliance investigation of the ruins to the east. I have not yet probed the extent of her abilities: I'm hoping you can give me a full report by engaging her in combat and destroying her. With a title like 'Lorekeeper,' I'm guessing Amberwind will have a journal on her that'll tell us exactly what those night elves are up to. Fetch that journal for me. No need to run back; use their own scrying stones to contact me remotely.
