Interesting twist on the old theme, "fight your way to the bottom of the crypt, get the treasure, and fight your way out again because everything respawned".
You run in unopposed. When you grab the "?" box, complete the quest, you get the "!" for this quest. As soon as you accept it mobs appear. Two in the basement with you at roughly 10:00 and 2:00, both out of aggro range. You can take them one at a time. From there, fight your way out, and there are more on the ground outside the crypt.
Nice revamp of an old, bad quest mechanic.

The phased area of this quest is the only (because the skeletons are only in the phase) where you can farm this recipe Recipe: Gift of Arthas and its only Alliance so if you see this on AH, Buy it because the drop chance are very low even if you do the quest with 11 characters
Sry for my bad english
I must say, it was a terrible ambush. Not surprising though, lore has shown the undead are pretty dreadful at that sort of thing.

What to do
Description
As you turn around, you see the silhouettes of shambling skeletons on the stairs. The undead aren't gone from this crypt. They were lying in wait! Furthermore, they appear to be armed with the weapons that you came looking for. You'll have to escape from the crypt. On your way out, you should gather as many pieces of equipment as you can.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Abandoned Crypt
If you truly intend to move forward in this battle for Andorhal... well, perhaps I can help. To the east lies a large crypt. The bottom level of the crypt was once used for storage of weapons and armor... until the Scourge came. Now that the undead have left, the weapons are free for the taking.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Writhing Haunt
The farmers traveled to the Writhing Haunt, an old farm to the northeast, across the river. Someone needs to keep an eye on them. Bring them those rusty weapons and armor you found. We can't have them fighting with pitchforks.
