TheWoWDBThese are no harder than the valiants it just takes a little longer, the simplest way I've found that works for all races (so far) is as follows:
1) Full shields
2) Start fight
3) Shield Breaker
4) Ride towards enemy quickly
5) Thrust
6) Top up shields
7) When he breaks off to charge, follow steps 3 to 6 again.It takes a little while but so far I've managed 4 in a row with over 2/3'rds health left on my mount.

/cast Howling Blast [REPLACE WITH ANY RANGED ABILITY]Bind it to some key on an extra action bar, then when you have to do the stupid vehicle quest on the horses, talk to the NPC and click it. It will select the first dialog option, immediately dismounts and oneshot with a ranged spell your opponent during the few seconds where it's still vulnerable. Saves 5 minutes of running around, putting shields up and charging every day.
You can do this quest while in a raid group.

Description
As a champion, you have mastered the art of mounted combat, besting challengers of all levels. When the tournament begins, those you have defeated will have redoubled their efforts and will seek to avenge their losses. It would be wise to continue honing your own skills and learning from your opponents. Champions representing all cities practice in the Ring of Champions. Equip your lance, mount up on any mount you're entitled to use at the stables, and face the champions.
