Didn't do this quest at level and wish I did. If you one-shot the mobs you don't get credit and the progress bar doesn't fill. Take off some gear to make the fights last a little bit longer.

Can I just say from a quest design perspective, I really like this variant of 'Place Flag down, drain from weakened enemies'?
1. The Item use isn't absurdly long
2. It places down a very visible area with a clear line where it starts and where it ends
3. The zone is very visible
4. There are enough mobs peppered about that you can do this in 1-4 pulls.
Finally good job Blizz! There are some absurdly bad variants of this quest even in Dragonflight.
Go to the area marked on your map and drop your totem and kill a few untill your bar fills. Took about 5 mins. Then back to the sprout for another bit of waiting.

What to do
Description
The diligence you've shown here is astounding, {name}. I never suspected that someone who couldn't even find their own bucket, could do something like this. I think the sapling is almost there, and with my help we can bring it the rest of the way. Take this totem and place it near some of the weakened, flame-corrupted Roottenders found in the Singing Fen. This should siphon the unstable magical energies out of their bodies and transform it into something we can use.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
