Make sure you set up the banner before Mierina is dead!
ofc you can flag her, but the kill won't count unless you have set up the banner.
Killing her is "the next step"

Watch out for Malifis,
it's a sort of wandering fleshcraft and might take time to kill, especially when having enough to gather from.

and...
to whom it may concern:

Marrow Scrapers might be harder to find,
not so many around and they are small but they do count towards the quest progress too (and have a lot less health!),
(most players probably just pull the Unbound-Deathwalker
don't bother looking for the skellies Displaced Scavenger (not the death elementals) can't be attacked.)

There's a little treasure around /way 47 62 that will spawn 5 Corpse Pinchers which count for WQ completion.
