Copied from wowogamer comment on Extraordinary Adventurer Augment. You can equip two of the same rings at the same time as they are not unique-equipped. I can confirm it as my feral druid have 2 Calibrated Hefty Cog ilvl 420 equipped as of today. One of the rings came with a tertiary stat (+84 Speed). Copied from the comments on the Extraordinary Adventurer Augment by I also got a Warforged Clockwork Re-Sharpener ilvl 425, so it is indeed possible for both rings and trinkets to proc something extra, be it an extra stat or a higher ilvl. You can get either a ring or a trinket purely random I think but on 3 toons it always make the trinket first
You can equip one of each at the same time but blizz has not condescended to reveal whether or not you can equip two trinkets at the same time or two rings..... Or if you can equip 2 of each simultaneously. Some one is going to have to risk wasting the mats and then hopefully tell us all.
