It's worth mentioning for Alliance players, even though you don't have access to this quest, you can still activate the Disciples of Naralex event.
After defeating the 4 Fanglords, speak to [npc=3678] back at the entrance.
This will start the escort event leading to battle with the final boss in Wailing Caverns: [npc=3654].
Found him standing inside the Instance entrance with Ebru and Muyoh (another incarnation from the one in Southern Barrens I guess?). The three of them are literally just inside the entrance to the instance, once you've trudged all the way through the main cave to the bottom to get to the Instance entrance.. past the oozes and assorted Deviate Slayers, Deviate Stinglash (es.. ers? lol) and other level appropriate beasties. Entrance btw is at [42.10 66.64] inside the main cave. Hope this is helpful.

Description
{class}, the Barrens used to be one of the most beautiful places in all of Kalimdor. It teemed with life and promise. Now, as you can see, that is no longer true. It is a land of great torment and strife. The Disciples of Naralex seek to cleanse the Wailing Caverns and bring them back to their former beauty. Speak with Nalpak just inside the Wailing Caverns to help.

Inside the dungeon: Wailing Caverns
Years ago, the famed druid Naralex and his followers descended into the shadowy Wailing Caverns, named for the mournful cry one hears when steam bursts from the cave system's fissures. Naralex planned to use the underground springs to restore lushness to the arid Barrens.
Bosses in the Adventure Guide, in order: Lady Anacondra, Lord Pythas, Lord Cobrahn, Kresh, Skum, Lord Serpentis, Verdan the Everliving, Mutanus the Devourer.
Entrance: Northern Barrens at 42.0, 66.9.
