Glowing Arcane Jewel

In order to get this quest, you need to kill the [npc=196900] at /way #2024 75.6 24.2.

On the comments page for that rare, hamhelth213 has explained what needs to be done: Kill the rare. Upon death, four glowing orbs will spawn in the nearby area - you can easily see them from where there rare is. They can be activated by clicking them, but each is only active for 20 seconds, so to be sure you can have all four activated at the same time, bring a friend (and you will need your flying mount as well).

Once all four are activated, a cave opens up and inside, you will find another rare, [npc=197183], which drops the item [item=200528], that starts this quest. When you turn in the quest, you get the two manuscripts.

With 'normal' flying now available in DF post 10.2, it's extremely easy to time the 4 orbs to bust open the cave. All you have to do is stay hovering when clicking them on a normal mount - do NOT be on the ground when clicking or it'll dismount you. Start at the highest as the previous methods suggest, mount up, hover, click the orb, then fly to each orb based on their height high to low, making sure you're hovering before clicking.

Doesn't work for me. I will be dismounted when hovering and clicking.
