Glyph Chasing

Glyph Chasing is a quest for level 15-30 in Silithus. It is step 6 of 12 in the Silithus storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Silithus at 46.4, 79.1. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

After our initial foray into the hives and Mistress Mar'alith's subsequent madness the three hives have been spewing out bugs! The increased activity might be tied into the glyphs covering those strange crystals.

If I can get rubbings of those crystals and the glyphs on them, we might be able to make sense of this madness.

Take this transcription set and hit Hive'Regal to the east, <name>. That's the last rubbing I need!

THIS IS WRONG! Entrance to Hive Regal is 58,78. After searching forever trying to find a way into the mountains, which is where 55,87 is located, finally went to the quest write-up on "Into the Maw..." to see what they said, since Natalie is at the glyph. Thank God!

Found the following comment there...

The cave entrance is at 58,78. It is part of Hive'Regal.

Natalie herself is as far south in as you can go. It's a long, linear, winding hive cave unlike the others. She is at 55,90.

Make sure to get Hive'Regal's glyph, which she is staring at, for the Glyph Chasing quest.

As of Patch 4.0.3a Locations to openings are:

Hive'Regal: 58.3,78.5
Hive'Zora: 34.8, 59.8
Hive'Ashi: 53.0, 25.2

Also note ... kill the Slavemasters quickly, they cast the spell which makes you kill your pet instead of them!

  • Into The Maw of MadnessSilithus · Level 15-30

I need you to venture into Hive'Regal and find what became of my dearest Natalia, <name>. This will be no easy task for you. Before you dive headlong into the maw of madness, make sure that you speak with those dwarves further.

After this quest

  • Breaking the CodeSilithus · Level 15-30

I think I can formulate an elixir that will allow us to more readily decipher the glyphs and language of the silithid and Qiraji! What do I need? Glad you asked! I need brains! Normally I'd need a brain from each silithid type that inhabit the hives.
