Arcane Annoyances

Arcane Annoyances is a quest for level 30-70 in The Azure Span. It is step 15 of 17 in the Into the Archives storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in The Azure Span at 40.0, 61.5. It rewards 2 reputation rewards, 9,500 experience and money.

Description

A large number of mana wyrms are absorbing the wild arcane magic coming out from the archives.

The rate that they're doing it is causing the ley lines to be thrown off balance... which is preventing the Azure Oathstone from being reclaimed.

I will use some of the unstable arcana you collected to form a hook of sorts.

Use it to slay several of the wyrms. The brief delay will be enough for me to adjust the energies below.

Some specs might have some trouble with this quest as the mobs hit pretty hard and have a large health pool. If you're having trouble just remember you only have to take on one at a time and you can rest/eat between pulls. It's about patience and defensive play. Good luck!

I came here to say this very thing. The Feasting Wyrms are unexpectedly tough and can come as an unpleasant surprise as you are skipping along your main story quest. @AphelionZero gives good advice, but also be aware of the ground swirlies. They have a knock back, and as the wyrms are best dealt with one at a time, it's a good idea to notice your surroundings. You'll be fine, it's just a bit of a wake-up moment! :)

It seems the last of the arcane disruption is up here. I'll continue adjusting the ley energies. Use some of the arcana you recovered to dispel the disruptions here.

Fine work, friend. It seems we've managed to repair the leylines within the Azure Archives. Back when the blue dragonflight was united, I would tell my brothers and sisters to never doubt the strength of mortals. Meet me at the oathstone to the south of here.
