To complete the quest mount and wrangle the [npc=140433] at Westwind Weald - North of Norwington Estate.
They're flying around the area, use [item=156928] to mount the gryphon.
While mounted you'll have three abilities: to kick gryphon, hard kick and renew stamina.
Just use every ability on cd and you'll be fine.

I had a problem with this WQ.
The Gryphon flew out of the WQ zone boundary as I got the last hit to wrangle it. Net result? It got wrangled, but the world quest did not complete.
If your gryphon flies out of the WQ area for it, wait until it goes back in otherwise you might get what happened to me.
As far as I can tell there is no strategy here. Just spam 3 and use 1 & 2 as often as you can without losing control of the gryphon to wear it down.
