Guarded Appreciation

Guarded Appreciation is a quest for level 36-80 in Ohn'ahran Plains. It is step 10 of 12 in the Garden of Secrets storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Ohn'ahran Plains at 22.1, 50.9. It rewards 9,500 experience and money.

Description

I know it can be quite exhausting work to defend such an important locale. And often, we drakonids and dragonspawn get very little thanks for our dedication.

I wish to bestow some of my own appreciation to the guards here in Ancient Bough.

Here, offer them these gifts from me, as a sign of friendship. I hope my heartfelt gesture properly expresses my gratitude.

Ah! I was right to be suspicious of this dude, then! As soon as I returned to [npc=189857] and [npc=186469] to turn in these quests and learned that he wants to "see the portal to the Emerald Dream with his own eyes", I became suddenly deeply suspicious of all the gems he just had me hand out to all the Emerald guards... Oof. It's too bad that emoting /suspicious at him doesn't do anything -- it would've been really cool if it did skip whatever comes next, and you can just out him then and there!

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Merithra needn't worry about me. I'm fine. My son's death... I'm fine. If you really want to help put my mind at ease, there is something you could do. I suspect Primalists will try to invade these lands again. Unlike last time, I doubt they'll attack the Ancient Bough directly.

I must take a moment to thank you, <name>, for all your help. Truly, I never thought I would have a chance to admire the Dream within Ancient Bough! Not as a humble emissary! How very kind. Lord Somnikus has graciously invited me to set foot inside the grove and see the portal.
