This Quest seems to have a glitch, where you can exceed the range of the BOOM-O-Matic 9000 to apparently endless:
While targeting a gyrocopter and channeling the BOOM-O-MATIC (this one must be in range), simply target any other gyrocopter. When the rocket launches, it will fly to the actual target, ignoring the range limit. As soon as the rocket hits its target, the kill count is increased.
The first Gyrocopter is still alive and can be targeted anew. Rinse and repeat until the quest is finished. No need to walk but only one step for the quest.EDIT: With the above trick, you can even target friendly Gyrocopter/Pterrordaxes and shoot them for your Quest progress ... if it is ethical for you ;-)
The [item=165877] is in a box at 77,49 inside of the forsaken camp "The Forward Guard".
