Hunt the Keeper (Horde)

Hunt the Keeper is a Horde-only quest for level 10-30 in The Hinterlands. It is step 54 of 61 in The Hinterlands storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in The Hinterlands at 67.8, 66.5. It rewards 6 reward items, 6,200 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

Kotonga has told me of Shadra. She is the venom queen, the loa of spiders, worshipped in darkness. If the Vilebranch are performing rituals, I'm not going to let them finish.

Check the cave behind the altar at the top of Jintha'Alor. Deep within it, one of Shadra's keepers might still be lurking. Kill her and take whatever she carries back here so we can know what's going on.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Venomous SecretsThe Hinterlands · Level 10-30

There's more of this curious venom to be had if Shadra's being summoned. Don't look so surprised... the Forsaken have studied these lands before, and we've encountered the venom queen at least once. Her toxins have proven quite useful in the past. They'll prove useful to the Horde once more, too.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Eye of ShadraThe Hinterlands · Level 10-30

Shadra must be summoned, for certain. To allow an opportunity like this to pass us by would be foolish. While the apothecaries can make fine use of the god's venom, they are relatively inexperienced in ritual magic. Fortunately, I am quite familiar with preparing dark convocations.
