Venomous Secrets

Venomous Secrets is a Horde-only quest for level 10-30 in The Hinterlands. It is step 53 of 61 in The Hinterlands storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in The Hinterlands at 67.6, 66.6. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 5,150 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

There's more of this curious venom to be had if Shadra's being summoned.

Don't look so surprised... the Forsaken have studied these lands before, and we've encountered the venom queen at least once. Her toxins have proven quite useful in the past.

They'll prove useful to the Horde once more, too. Be a dear and fetch me as much poison as you can from the spawn of Shadra that lurk in the cave on the summit... I'm sure you'll be covered in it anyway.

After getting your Quest, turn to the left and click on Kotonga, he will port you to Akil'darah at the middle terrace, which is at the top of the summit where you will then go to the cave with spiders.
Unless you want to ride or fight your way to the top (again).

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Summit of FateThe Hinterlands · Level 10-30

You've done well cleaving through their warriors, <name>. I'd like you to investigate the summit of Jintha'Alor. We were prepared for our fiercest battle there, to storm their dark altar, but it's too quiet. Not a sound.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Hunt the KeeperThe Hinterlands · Level 10-30

Kotonga has told me of Shadra. She is the venom queen, the loa of spiders, worshipped in darkness. If the Vilebranch are performing rituals, I'm not going to let them finish. Check the cave behind the altar at the top of Jintha'Alor. Deep within it, one of Shadra's keepers might still be lurking.
