Meating Expectations

Did the drop rate on Fairlands Gazelle Meat drop in 5.2? Pre-5.2, I used to get at least one per group, and now I'm getting about one per every 3-4 groups.

I'd like to add that as of this edit, I'm still at 4/10 on the quest requirement and I have 51 Shattered Bone Fragments. Sad face :(

Final Shattered Bone Fragment (at 10/10 Fairlands Gazelle Meat) was 74. Maybe it was just incredibly bad luck.

The drop rate on the Fairlands Gazelle Meat isn't abyssmal, but low enough to make you wonder. With the number of heroes out there hunting the tasty gazelle, is it any wonder the Thundermaw are turning to local yaks?

We may be witnessing the dark side to the jolly Pandaren; their voracious appetite brings ecosystemic collapse.

The drop rate for harvestable meat is low, but the number of gazelle running around is high, so I think we adventurers and the Pandaren are both doing the ecosystem a great service. Not only are we getting tasty meat for the jolly Pandaren to eat, we are also helping solve a dire overpopulation crisis. Soon the gazelle that are left may actually be able to get enough grass to themselves to grow enough muscle mass that the drop ratio will be 1 kill to 1 meat.
