Ok, I'm going to give full detail on how to obtain this daily. Some are correct above however do not go in depth on how to and what is required to get this daily. It is HIGHLY recommended by me to do the following due to other dailies/reputation/factions and other chain quest unlock by doing the following. Its a huge amount of Lore and fun by all means.

First things first. quest "On Brann's Trail" & "They Took Our Men" can be done together and neither have to be done first before starting the other chain. I will show the path I took to get this daily unlocked for me, and is recommended to do the same. These are based on notes I took throughout the series, I took some notes from wowhead and other sites similiar to wowhead.

1) On Brann's Trail - 36.1/64.1 (snow)
- Leads to & Unlocks -
2) Sniffing Out the Perpetrator (5 part chain) - use the Frosthound's Collar at 36/64
3) Pieces to the Puzzle - 37/45
4) Data Mining
5) The Library Console - 37/46
6) Norgannon's Shell
- Leads to & Unlocks 2 Quest -
7) Aid From The Explorer's League (9 part chain) & The Exiles of Ulduar. Please note: The Exiles of Ulduar quest chain is a single quest leading up to and ends with 12 other quest some mini chain quests. This starts with Iron Colossus npc and IS NOT NECESSARY for this daily quest to obtaining it unlocked.
8) The Frostborn King
9) Fervor of the Frostborn - 29.8/75.7 - May want to bring a friend if your cloth. I was a priest and barely made it
10) An Experienced Guide Note: May want to do this with quest: Unwelcome Guests - 26/66. It isnt required for this guide to complete it but will save time for you later.
11) The Lonesome Watcher
12) Fate of the Titans (The towers) coords: Temple of Invention - 45,49 - Temple of Winter - 52,56 - Temple of Life - 64,47 - Temple of Order - 53,42
13) The Hidden Relic - 41/61
14) Fury of the Frostborn King - 38/61
15) The Master Explorer - 39/56
- Leads to & Unlocks -
16) The Brothers Bronzebeard Note: Nice reward
The Next chain can be done while doing the above chain. None of the above unlocks this series but is required to get this daily.
17) They Took Our Men (16 part chain) Note: This chain opens up The Sons of Hodir faction, also do note you may want to do quest Equipment Recovery in conjunction with this quest; however it is not required. Saves time.
18) Leave No Goblin Behind - 42/70 - it's ALOT easier
19) The Crone's Bargain - 44/69
20) Mildred the Cruel
21) Discipline
22) Examples to be Made - 45/69
23) A Certain Prisoner - 42/68
24) A Change of Scenery - 47/68
25) Is That Your Goblin? - 48/69
26) The Hyldsmeet - Simple
27) Taking on All Challengers Note: This quest unlocks and opens the daily "Defending Your Title".
28) You'll Need a Bear - 53/65
29) Going Bearback - Disturbing Title
30) Cold Hearted
31) Deemed Worthy 49/71
32) Marking A Harness - 48/74 & 48/76 - This quest unlocks the following 2 quest "The Slithering Darkness" & "The Last of Her Kind". Do note that "The Slithering Darkness" is not necessary for this chain however does save you ALOT of time in the next chain quest series. Otherwise you will be forced to complete it later. Just a matter of if you want to do things the hard way.
- Leads to & Unlocks -
33) The Last of Her Kind (8 part chain) - 55/63
34) The Warm-Up - 50/67
35) Into The Pit Note: This quest opens up the daily quest: "Back To The Pit"
36) Prepare For Glory - 47/69
37) Lok'lira's Parting Gift - 50/65
38) The Drakkensryd - Note: You can eat/drink while on the drake. Also a youtube video I still had open on Mozilla this may help: Youtube
39) Sibling Rivalry
40) Mending Fences - Entrance to Fjorn's Anvil is at 73/62 coords. Note: This quest while doing it you will be killing mobs called: Stormforged Iron Giant which will drop item: Slag Covered Metal (30% Drop rate according to wowhead) which begins the next part of this series called: The Refiner's Fire. ALSO A post I remembered and found again under Mending Fences forum posted by USER Kenzi : To make this quest easier, don't kill your 5th giant until you have finished The Refiner's Fire. After you kill your 5th giant you won't be able to pick up the boulders anymore. The giants randomly charge up the mountain and it'll make your life easier if you're able to pick up the boulders for help while you're doing The Refiner's Fire.
Also, always have a boulder in your inventory. You don't know when a giant will run into you, and it's always good to have a boulder just in case. - End of post by Kenzi. I found this to be VERY helpful. One last thing to take notice of is this quest partially unlocks the quest called: Forging An Alliance
- Edited for Part 2

When you start this quest, you'll mount up on a [npc=30108]. Fly to the Foot Steppes in the Northeast and look for the [npc=29753] mobs. Your biggest challenge will be catching the things, since they can fly faster than your eagle does. Your preferred prey will be the wyrms who are either roosted on the mountains and rocks or are attacking rhinos. If you find one of those, they're easy pickings. They melee and have a weak frost breath attack, but are no threat to your eagle. If you can't find any who are roosted or distracted, you can catch the fliers by heading them off. They may be faster, but you're much more maneuverable.

Your eagle has three attacks:

  • [spell=55936]: This is your basic attack. It does a good deal of damage and has a short cooldown.

  • [spell=55951]: It has a thirty second cooldown, but once you use it on a drake, it's as good as dead. When you use it, just hit it once and let your eagle do the rest of the work. It will claw at the drake's head for a few seconds, killing it.

  • [spell=55958]: This is your ranged attack (5 - 45 yards). It does a lot of damage and stuns the target, but has a minimum range and a cast time. You can be in motion while you're casting, though.

I always open with a Storm Bolt, and then, if it's up, follow with an Eye Gouge, Swooping if it's not.

If you're a skinner, you may want to hang out in the Foot Steppes, because when multiple people are doing this quest, that whole area will be littered with skinnable corpses.

Though it would be tough to do the quest quickly this way, if you kill the wyrms without using the eagle, you'll get quest credit and will also be able to loot them.

Description

You were there with Loken, weren't you? The iron dwarves captured Veranus, the brood mother of the proto-drakes. The drakes don't seem even a little bit happy about the situation... they've gotten very aggressive. They've pushed into stormcrest territory and the eagles have taken to an all out fight with them. It's time to return the favor. We're riding to the Foot Steppes and slaughtering them there. King Stormheart left this hammer to me - make good use and see to it that I get it back.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the quest's prerequisites.

  • The Brothers BronzebeardThe Storm Peaks · Level 25-30

That does it! We finally have the keystone... It's beautiful! I've been around the world more than once, but this thing's got me all jittery with excitement again. I suppose now's not the time to stop and admire though, we need to get the heck out of here.

  • Baby StealersThe Storm Peaks · Level 25-30

A few weeks ago, if you looked up, you'd see dozens of those beautiful eagles soaring the skies. Now, only a few if any. They've taken to staying with their nests nearly all the time now because the harpies have been stealing their eggs. The harpies have grown a taste for eagle flesh, it seems...
