This quest is horrible, the discription leads you to think that the quest giver refers to the big spikes, while the spike you need a small one, that you cant even land on. To help ppl find it ill post two screenshots, a topview and a side view of where you have to be and use the item, you do not need to land, just use it while mounted, actually i dont think its even possible to land anyway. sideview http://img131.imageshack.us/my.php?image=wowscrnshot091508085127fq6.jpg topview http://img131.imageshack.us/my.php?image=wowscrnshot091508085143ye0.jpg The head you see dosent "exist" be

One thing to note: the ice spike you need has sparklies on it.
You do not dismount when using the tablets.
That's what I suspected first and it's also why I tried to land on top of the spike (as of build 9155, the spike's top gleams like a big fat piece of loot), which is ... well, difficult, and if you fail, it's deadly. Just fly next to the spike and use the tablets, et voila.

What to do
Description
The helm is forged. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, small one. Though there remains much to do, we sons of Hodir are grateful for your accomplishments. In return, I offer you the opportunity to present Hodir's helm to our king and our brethren. Fly to the sparkling tip of the small ice spike in front of me and read to our people from this tablet. Enjoy the privilege, {class}. Never before has an outsider been given such an honor!
