Stinglasher (Horde)

Stinglasher is a Horde-only quest for level 15-30 in Feralas. It is step 47 of 68 in the Feralas storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Feralas at 74.9, 42.5. It rewards 1 reward item, 1 reputation reward, 5,150 experience and money.

Description

In surveying the Writhing Deep, one of our scouts reported seeing a giant insect - much larger than the other insects spotted - wandering about the twisted terrain. Not only is it larger, it also seems to secrete some sort of aura that the other insects don't. We've given it a name - Stinglasher.

The innards of this beast would be invaluable to study as we figure out the best way to deal with this new threat. Cut out its secretion glands and bring it back to me immediately!

There are TWO hives. One has a spiral entrance with three holes, and the other (to the east of that one) has a straight entrance with one hole. I found him in the 2nd hive, that had the straight entrance. I searched around the other one seeing as though the quest helper marker was placed atop that hive, but he is not located in this. Make sure you do not use the quest helper marker area, but to the east of it. He was right at the entrance of this hive.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Zukk'ash InfestationFeralas · Level 15-30

From what scouting we have managed to muster, we believe that the foe south of the gnolls is an insect-like race. Frankly, it is irrelevant whether or not they're sentient. If they are driving the gnolls to frenzy against us, then they are as big of a threat - if not more - than the gnolls.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Darkmist RuinsFeralas · Level 15-30

I have been beset by visions, <class>. Visions of an icon of great power falling into sinister hands. I see an amulet, held by the ancient elves...sitting forgotten while its surroundings turn to ruins, until it is captured by demons through treachery and malice.
