Stop the Fires!

You don't have to throw a single bucket, you just need to have accepted the quest and then be present when the fires in any village are put out.

And yes, I mean ANY village. As an alliance, I was looking for the wickerman festival in Tirisfall Glades and went into Brill just about the time the horde put out the fires, and I got credit for it. Even better, I managed to grab the quest from the pumpkin before the hordies killed me.

But if you want this quest done, don't just stand there and wait for others to do it for you, participate in the event.

This is a very hard quest to do, usually takes 3-4 attempts with 3-4 people, less attempts with more people. Everyone please use the in-game suggestion interface to ask for a fix for this quest.

Something like
- Reduce rate of fire spread by half
- Increase radius of splash of water buckets to cover more burned area
- Guards help out if no players are present.

Probably the most effective tactic (especially if you don't have a huge number of people helping out) is to actually set up a bucket brigade. Since the water buckets can be thrown from player to player, you can have a chain of toons leading from the water tub to the buildings. That way you can get better coverage to the parts of the buildings that are farthest from your water supply.
