Notes

A Cub's Cravings

You will need to feed your Winterspring Cub: Shardtooth Meat (6)

• Drops from bears with Shardtooth in their name, most common in the area between Frostsaber Rock and The Hidden Grove.

After being fed a piece of meat, the cub will offer one of the following emotes:

• 
  
• The Winterspring Cub devours the food.
• 
  
• The Winterspring Cub's strong jaws tear into the food.
• 
  
• The Winterspring Cub catches the food in its mouth and swallows it in one gulp.
• 
  
• The Winterspring Cub quickly finishes the food and glances around for more.
• 
  

'Borrowing' From the Winterfall

You have to have your Winterspring Cub summoned in order to feed the Smoked Meat to it.
The Smoked Meat stands are found in two places:

• Winterfall Village at (67, 46)
• 
  
• Timbermaw Post at (56, 35)
• 
  

Cub's First Toy

To make the cat toy, you need these things:

2. Tough Yeti Hide (1)
   
   • Dropped by the yeti just south of the Winterfall Village in the cave.

4. Wildkin Feather (5)
   
   • Dropped by the Owlbeasts in The Hidden Grove.

After collecting the hide and feathers, right-click to combine them into the cat toy. Then right-click the toy to Use it.
Using the toy produces a ground targeted area of effect targeting circle. Click the circle to have the cub play with the toy.
The Hidden Grove can be found at the north end of Winterspring, due north of Everlook, and is labeled on the game map.

Hunting Practice

Simply bring your cub close to one of the mounds. The cub will pounce on the mound, and the player will see the emote

• Winterspring Cub pounces on the snow-covered hare burrow (View comments on that page for coordinates to some of the burrows I've found) If you don't have coordinates, most of the burrows are in the middle area between: Frostsaber Rock, The Hidden Grove, and Starfall Village.

Somewhere along the way of transferring and race changing I lost my [item=68646].

If you happen to lose the item, it is safe to abandon the quest and pick it up again to receive another one. You will NOT lose your [item=68644], as they are not tagged as quest items and will not disappear when the quest is dropped.

This quest rewards 10 000 reputation (not counting guild perk or human racial). Doing whole line (i.e. starting quest + 20 dailies + this one), gives 43 000 reputation and thus makes you Exalted no matter what you do.
