Quest Log

To Fly a Kite

To Fly a Kite is a quest for level 10-70. It rewards 1 reward item, 2 reputation rewards and 9,500 experience.

Description

Let me tell you about an opportunity.

The proto-drakes and proto-dragons have an amazing range of motion on their wings. And the ribbing! It is so extendable. We mostly make our kites from stretched hides. With the proto-drakes causing havoc, I was wondering if you could return some of their wings to me? I can make kites that would be the envy of the tribe.

A great place to get a lot of Fresh Proto-Dragon Wings fast is in the The Waking Shores, near where the Alliance boat and Horde airship arrive.
There are many grouped non-elite proto-drakes in the area just east of the Wingrest Embassy flight-path: you're looking for Primal Proto-Drakes.
For those with the TomTom addon, you can use the following command:
/way The Waking Shores 79.50, 28.00 To Fly a Kite (Primal Proto-Drakes)

I really would recommend going to the northeastern part of Waking Shores where you did the first quest. Stand just outside the small hub there and tag them and the guards will help you kill them!

Another great spot is the Wild Preserve in The Waking Shores (southern part of map, around the "RA" of Dragonscale Basecamp or /way 38.38, 85.97). The proto-drakes on the ground are not flagged as part of the quest and the area is not highlighted by the quest tracker, but I was able to get 9/10 from this area unintended while completing another quest. After only getting 1 trying in several parts of Thaldraszus.
