Use Cutter Fin. The other champions seem absolutely worthless. Fin actually tanks & does damage. The difference between Fin & the others is enough that if you've started the quest & picked someone else, even if you've killed some of the quest targets, abandon it & start back over with Fin. Don't forget to use his ability, it's really good unlike the others'.

Description
The Jailer has dispatched a force of elite troops to strike our rear lines. Their attack threatens our whole assault! I need you and one other soldier to eliminate these enemies.
