Crafting estimate at current listings
At current lowest listed prices one craft shows an estimated profit of 23 gold75 silver, but the crafted item’s listing is far from its 30-day median (see below).

- Evidence: 13 current listings holding 209 units of the crafted item in the US region. We see listings, not sales, so how many sell and at what price is unknown.
- Outlier: the crafted item’s lowest listing is 4.2 times its 30-day median of 86 silver, so this estimate rests on a listing far above its usual level.
- Items per craft: the game’s spell data creates 10 per craft, so the listed value of one craft is that many times the lowest listed price.

Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 2 reagents for one craft of Crispy Bacon cost 10 gold45 silver. Most of that is Slice of Bacon - 5 at 1 gold64 silver each, 8 gold20 silver, 78.5% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 11 gold per craft, 1 gold10 silver per item at 10 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 3 gold60 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 25 gold55 silver; the Auction House would keep 1 gold80 silver of a sale, leaving 23 gold75 silver. That is an estimated 227.3% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 7.0% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 209 units across 13 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
