  • Evidence: 11 current listings holding 186 units of the crafted item in the US region. We see listings, not sales, so how many sell and at what price is unknown.
  • Outlier: the crafted item’s lowest listing is 3.0 times its 30-day median of 97 silver, so this estimate rests on a listing far above its usual level.
  • Items per craft: the game’s spell data creates 10 per craft, so the listed value of one craft is that many times the lowest listed price.

Reading these numbers

At current lowest listed prices the 4 reagents for one craft of Drogbar-Style Salmon cost 20 gold70 silver. Most of that is Highmountain Salmon - 5 at 3 gold each, 15 gold, 72.5% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.

Break-even is 21 gold78 silver per craft, 2 gold17 silver per item at 10 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 2 gold95 silver, which clears it.

At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 8 gold80 silver; the Auction House would keep 1 gold47 silver of a sale, leaving 7 gold32 silver. That is an estimated 35.4% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 16.8% of the gross.

Listing depth right now: 186 units across 11 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.

Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
