8 bosses in Karazhan, Magisters' Terrace and The Arcatraz drop pieces of this set. Each instance below carries its Adventure Guide entry, where its entrance is, and what each boss drops.

Magisters' Terrace

After his defeat in Tempest Keep, Kael'thas Sunstrider publicly revealed his alliance with the ruthless Burning Legion. Intent upon summoning the demon lord Kil'jaeden, Kael'thas has returned to the Isle of Quel'Danas to make the final preparations for his master's arrival.

The entrance is in Isle of Quel'Danas at 61.5, 31.1 (/way #122 61.5 31.1).

Magisters' Terrace entrance

• Vexallus drops 2 pieces of this set (Chest) on Normal, Heroic and Timewalking. Adventure Guide map pin: 83.5, 26.4 on the Magisters' Terrace map. An arcane elemental of unimaginable power, Vexallus was summoned to the Magisters' Terrace by a trio of blood elves who were slain by the force of his arrival. The magical energy in the surrounding crystals resonates within Vexallus, and his being is in a constant state of explosive chaotic flux.
• Kael'thas Sunstrider drops 2 pieces of this set (Feet) on Normal, Heroic and Timewalking. Adventure Guide map pin: 8.6, 50.2 on the Magisters' Terrace map. Once a true champion to the blood elf people, and a defender of the race's ancient heritage, Kael'thas Sunstrider has fallen prey to the dark influences of the demon Kil'jaeden while sojourning in Outland. At the bidding of his new master, the wayward prince returned to Azeroth and seized the Sunwell, hoping to use the fount as a means to open a doorway for the demon to this new and verdant world. Kael'thas is a brilliant tactician, a powerful warrior, and his veins burn with limitless fel magic.

The Arcatraz

The mighty Tempest Keep was created by the enigmatic naaru: sentient beings of pure energy and the sworn enemies of the Burning Legion. In addition to serving as a base of operations for the naaru, the structure itself possesses the technology to teleport through alternate dimensions, traveling from one location to another in the blink of an eye.

The entrance is in Netherstorm at 74.6, 57.6 (/way #109 74.6 57.6).

The Arcatraz entrance

• Harbinger Skyriss drops 2 pieces of this set (Wrist) on Normal, Heroic and Timewalking. Adventure Guide map pin: 61.6, 30.7 on the The Arcatraz map. The naaru believed the persuasive voice of Harbinger Skyriss was silenced when they contained him and forced him into a long, dreamless sleep. The unfortunate warden of Arcatraz learned the naaru were wrong. Skyriss had just enough energy to speak to Warden Mellichar in a still, small voice. Time took care of the rest.

1 other set reuses the 3D models of Righteous Armor’s head and shoulder, most shared models first:

• Righteous Battleplate (The Burning Crusade, 32 pieces): the same head and shoulder models, in the same colours.

Matched in the game files: each piece’s ItemDisplayInfo names its 3D model and texture. The same model with another texture is a recolour. Only pieces with a 3D model of their own (helms, shoulders, cloaks, weapons, shields, off-hands and some belts and robes) can be compared this way; pieces drawn from textures alone are left out.

2 pieces of Righteous Armor can be listed on the Auction House (they do not bind on pickup); 2 have a listing on US connected realms in our latest scan.

Lowest listed price on any US connected realm in our recorded Auction House scan, per piece; transmog gear is priced per realm, so the realm named is where that price was seen.
