So, we can become honorary paragons? Does this include being encased in amber and to sleep in it? (I know i doesn't, but it is a fun thought to play with.)
In four-thousand years, we will be woken from our slumber in the amber, another empress has gone mad. The other paragons had all but a few been annihilated, and only you and those few remain. You are the last hope of the mantid (once again) and your deeds against Shek'zeer is little more than the stuff of legends, and the Klaxxi thought your very excistence was a myth, that no outsider could ever be better than any mantid at anything.
You meet the other few remaining Paragons, some being those that you woke, and some haven risen after the fall of Shek'zeer. Those that rose afterwards question your ability, for you are an outsider after all, but those that you woke, those that you helped bring down Shek'zeer rejoices. In time your prove yourself to the newer paragons
Countless mantid fall before you, yet they keep on coming, like lambs to the slaughter. You push on together with the other paragons, your skills far outshining theirs, towards the imperial palace. Your group walks through the army as if it was water, their deaths in vain. Eventually you reach a massive gate leading to the throne room. Inside you see...
Kael'thas, but how? He sits on a throne, with the empress kneeling before him. Kael sees you and smirks. With his massively deteriorated body he rises from the throne and yells:
You! How? Your actions here has led to nothing, the countless mantid you have slain will quickly be replaced. Although I would have preferred it without their deaths. You shall pay for what you have done to me, for each time you harmed me, I will give back a thousandfold.
After this you charge, the other paragons following tightly after. Noticing your charge the empress rises, and proceeds to blow the other paragons up in an instant, yet somehow missing you. (plot armour ftw) After a short battle she lies in pieces all over the room. Kael'Thas locks his eyes on you and yells:Don't look so smug! I know what you're thinking, but The Sunwell was merely a setback. Did you honestly believe I would trust the future to some red, half-eredar mongrel? Hahahaha... Oh no, no, no, he was merely an instrument, a stepping stone to a much larger plan! It has all led to this...and this time, you will not interfere! The fight lasts for hours and hours. You trade blows, still no decisive blow is ever dealt. But as the fight draws on, he begins to panick, miscasting spells, slashing thin air instead of you and mutters mad whispers. For a moment his guard is down, and you take the chance, ending him outright.
You look around, the aftermath of the battle. All the Paragons are dead, 3/4 of the mantid empire dead and a dead Kael'Th... Hey! Where did his corpse go?
Where his corpse was a moment ago, you find a Verdant Sphere, and a voice rings in your head:
There must always be a master of the verdant spheres, for if not, the countless armies of Kael'Thas will run rampant and the factions of Azeroth will be destroyed. But beware, if you attune yourself with the sphere there is no turning back. When you hold the sphere in your hand you ask yourself loudly: ''The weight of such a burden... it must be mine, for there is no other to-- ''
But just before you attune yourself to the Sphere, you hear a voice behind you. It was Korven The Prime.
''Wakener! You hold a grim destiny in your hands, brother... but it is not your own.''
''Korven, how did you survive?''
''The empress' power sealed my fate, the world of the sane can no longer comfort me''
''Give me the sphere, allow me to attune with it, I will become the jailer of the insane''
''No, old friend. I cannot...''
''DO IT WAKENER! You have your own destiny to fulfill. This last act of service... is mine''
''You will not be forgotten, my friend''
'' I MUST be forgotten, Wakener! If the world is to live free from the tyranny of cliches - they must never know what was done here today.''
''Tell them only the Empress is dead...''
''... And that Korven the Prime died with her''Korven proceeds to attune himself to the sphere and opens a hole in the ground below the throne. He pushes the throne into the hole, sits on it, and encases himself in amber.
His last words before he is fully encased is: ''Don't look so smug.''Afterwards you cover the hole and return to the Klaxxi, never telling anyone about what happened. Except creating a monument that will show everyone excactly what happened if they touch it.
A very long comment indeed
