I expect others have thought of this but just in case:
Power cores like this are a common part used in many of the engineering devices. These same devices having a set number of uses before they simply vanish. Instead, wouldn't it make more sense to simply change the battery?
It'd be great to see this made a dual-function part with the additional use of being cast(ex. Sharpening Stones, Fishing Lure) upon a depleted device to restore its charges.

A very good item to level up to make as you can level it from 150-190. Sure by the end you'll have to make a lot per skill up but it's only 1 gold per time. Much cheaper than the other items you can make at this level. The best thing is just mine 100 or so gold ore and make into bars then just set to make all for the gold power core and then make a cup of tea of something and enjoy it for 15-20 mins and when you come back you should be at 190.
