Actually, wouldn't it be "BUR"? Since when an alliance says "lol" to a horde it shows up as "bur". "KEK" is when an Alliance sees a Horde saying "lol". =P

so true... I completely agree, even though engineering isnt as profitable as many of the other output professions, it has always been about making quirky inventions and devices. Heck, I wouldn't put it past a Gnome or Gobling to make something like that. I think Blizzard should keep it an engineers item. Gear is more than just stuff to improve your characters, it also shows what your character has been through. Having at least 1 max rank of each profession (2 engineers, lol) engineering is the most expensive and hardest to level. The fact that nearly every recipe requires parts of others (not just a bolt of nw, or imbued nw, etc) and those parts can require parts... it gets rough. Not to mention, while mining makes it cheaper and easier, leatheworking is also pretty essential to engineering. Tailoring requires farming, alchemy requires herbalism, bs'ing mining, but I can't really think of another profession that essentially requires 2 gathering professions to be "free." So I hope they make this B

Hopefully they make it BoP, and engineer crafted. These mounts, along with the Roflcopter, allow you to tell apart engineers at a glance. Also, I don't want to share my motorcycle with people who don't know the pain of leveling Engineering.

what about the pain of leveling every other skill? Should they make make leg patches tailoring and leatherworking only? Or gems Jewelcrafting only?

Enchanting is the most profitable proffession by a LONG shot. Just having enchanting you get 50% extra gold from quests, in world events you get like 30x the gold everyone else does (DE the lich event epics for 30g) oh and you get an extra 20~30g for joining an instance since people are just farming badges. Oh and it is used by everyone everytime they get a new piece of gear and they tip well. Also, JCing costs more to level/invest. The thing about engineering is that it doesn't MAKE any money ever.

well if it does require engineering then i hope DK's (when i create one of course) will be able to start with normal 55 related profession levels... like 250 or something so then we at least start out like everything else, then Dk's will look UBER

The blowing up at times I can believe due to engineering. Any chance you could provide a video of these things happening, along with the mounts HP indicators?

The Mechano-Hog and Mekgineer-Chopper are part-mount part-siege vehicle. I wouldn't be suprised if they blow up for some reason. And yes, this is a 2 person mount. (I'm not in the beta, just saying stuff I read, you can correct me if I'm wrong)

If that's the way they're playing it, I can understand it working. Except for the fact that a motorbike doesn't seem to be much of a Siege vehicle to me. Unless there's some explosive cannon mounted on the front. Subtle hint to Blizz if anyones reading maybe?

Its not really a siege weapon it just carries several personel to the same place,AND looks awesome(its called a APV or something,can remember :D).

The bike is capable of carrying a passenger with no modifications. To give someone a lift, invite them to your party then have them click on the bike when their icon turns to the new mount arrow icon.

Well, hope no one was actually keeping Engineering specifically for this mount like I was. If you were, better start planning out your new profession now, because Blizzard, in their infinite wisdom, is making these available to EVERYONE.

Right, which is what Rilgon was saying... it's not going to be an Engineering-only mount, so there's no point in holding onto Engineering specifically for access to the hog. You are now free to drop Engineering, pick up a profession that you can actually make money with, and still get to ride this bike.

Well at first I was but then... its not like its something that would be replaced in a few months like getting a new enchant when u get new gear. What will we do when everyone has one? Not to mention most people would prolly gather the mats themselves and just ask engineers to craft it... and for what? A 10g-30g tip?

I don't think people are understanding what's going on here... At the moment, the bike is available to everybody for a paultry 5 gold. The devs have flat-out said the reason for this is because there are a few more bugs to test on it, so they want everybody to have fun and use it. When the game goes live, this WILL be an ENGINEER ONLY mount. In fact, the Alliance Vanguard/Warsong Hold rep vendors are already selling the schematic, and it clearly shows a 450 Engineering requirement.

engineers who complain about this mount being BoE should stop crying and think for a few seconds- this mount will cost about 12500g to get your hands on. so whats stopping you from charging double that amount in the AH?

AH listing and sale prices are based on vendor value. 12.5k+the rest of the mats will make this a very, very, very expensive item to list. Sell it on the trade channel.

just be a miner and you can "thank god" you could farm the mats..as all i see so far it's crafted by engineers but can be used buy anyone who adquiers it....hope the change it to engineer-only like the "copter"...so we can show some [b]status[/b] while riding it...else better roll anything else more usefull for your roll.

Blue has already said that the bike will not be an engy only mount. Read up. I know that your statement was just a prediction, but daily perusal of the blue posts will keep you up to date, and will show that your prediction is incorrect.

Me being an engineer am somewhat disappointed that its not engineering only, like all these past comments have said Engineering is really hard to level and costs a lot, and sure you'd be making some money back with these but why a mount? Its not like an alchemists potions where its a one time use thing, with one of these mounts you buy one and your set, so us engineers will be making roughly 20g on a tip and we wont ever make money again, i say make this mount BoP and give us something else to sell, like maybe making our grenades available to all players, or making some of the mats we make required by some other professions. These are only options but i really don't think this mount is the best solution to engineering being such a gold sink. What with all these new enchantments i'm sure blizz can come up with a few different enchantments that are slightly less effective than the engineering ones, but are still useful, engineering still needs its perks besides goggles so that someone may choose it over say LW or Enchanting.

I'm seeing a potential money maker being a taxi driver. I mean it be great for lowbies that want a free ride somewhere fast.

I can't see why all the engineers are crying about it being BoE.. We Still have the roflcopters which others don't, Heck, We are the only profession with mounts, Except for that flying carpet, But My mage won't be seen on that crap for no matter how much gold.. The Choppah is BoE So we engineers can get some extra pocket money, I really can't see the problem, Looking at the mats of that thing I wouldn't say everybody will be able to get it. I think most of you engineers got spoiled from the sudden attention of Blizzard? :o My troll won't care who else gets the mount, I just want it myself because it has Pwn on the plate :)
