TheWoWDBThe quest is very soloable. You only have to kill one elite, which is barely an elite, and the abomination can tank it for you.
The trick to this quest is getting to it without having to get through the area full of REAL elites to the south. Loop around to the north. There are some curly dirt paths that completely bypass the difficult part of Ardenweald and go straight to the quest area.
