To get the book without engaging the elite, go around the outside of the Terrace of Inner Grace, to /way 67.78 43.24 and stand on the ledge outside You can reach the book from there.

Scroll drop rate is really low. I killed over 100 mobs to get all 8.

The kyrian are known for their collection of scrolls and writings. I'm particularly interested in their texts regarding those who have joined their ranks. Why is it that some of the greatest fighters are sent to Bastion and not to Maldraxxus? Perhaps research can divine the answer.
