Arcane Legacy

Arcane Legacy is an Alliance-only quest for level 10-30 in Stonetalon Mountains. It is step 19 of 48 in the Stonetalon Mountains, Alliance storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Stonetalon Mountains at 58.7, 56.0. It rewards 1 reputation reward and 6,200 experience.

Description

The rage of the elements has unearthed a hidden Highborne city in the heart of Stonetalon Mountains.

Directly southwest of here, through Sishir Canyon, you will find the Ruins of Eldre'thar. Within the ruins lie treasures untouched by mortals for ten thousand years!

Take this device and use it on the Highborne ghosts that inhabit the ruins. It will... put their souls to rest and also collect valuable data which I may peruse at a later date.

Throw the device at the Highborne mobs in the Ruins of Eldre'thar and sometimes you get an angry spirit attack you and sometimes you'll get a bound spirit (they look like wisps). I had a real streak of bad luck when I did this quest and the first 10 minutes all I got was angry aggro spirits, but eventually I got the bound spirits. My advice is to keep trying if all you're getting is angry spirits.

Before killing groups with named Highborn, stay back and listen to their "roleplaying". If you're a lore nerd, are interested in quests, or have enjoyed past Warcraft books, you'll enjoy some of the scenes the named mobs in this fallen city act out. Once they're done talking, they're fair game! :)
