If you somehow missed where you pick up this, you need to use one of the two teleporters to either Hall of Samples or Hall of Aspects inside the Hall of Records. The teleporters are located right next to the entrance.

Now that we've accessed the override consoles, we should be able to get past that barrier. I'll meet ye back in the main hall and we'll see this through!
